Regarding
Tinnitus
Tinnitus,
once unheard of, has become almost commonplace. The symptoms of
constant sounds such as ringing, whirring, and a high pitched whine
in the ears are indicative of this annoying malady. There are those
who would say they have the cure (purveyers of herbs, drugs, and
the like) and there are those who say it is incurable (medical doctors).
Some
say it is caused by loud noises which damage the ear. Others say
its cause is more internal, such as high blood pressure or old age.
Metaphysically,
tinnitus is said to be caused by not listening to the inner voice.
When you have the intent to not hear your inner voice, your body
obliges by offering you constant sounds to cover up the messages
you don't want to hear.
Until
recently, I thought that my inner voice meant that voice of higher
wisdom. This was confusing to me because I thought I was doing quite
a good job of not only hearing what it had to say, but seeking it
out and asking it questions. Tarot readings, channelled writings,
and such.
What
I realized about my inner voice suddenly one day shocked me. The
inner voice isn't always that kind, wise voice of our Angels and
Higher Wisdom. Sometimes, most often in fact, it's the voices we
heard as we were growing up. Now they are being repeated in a never-ending
loop inside our heads - our inner voice! The shoulds, shouldn'ts,
and messages of being unworthy are all spoken by your inner voice.
Your
body responds to your desire to not hear these voices by doing its
best to cover them up with other sounds which draw your attention
away from them. You body always responds to your thoughts. When
you are thinking that you don't want to hear something, it will
respond in the best way it can to obey your commands. This may mean
that it closes down your hearing ability or it may mean that you
have additional sounds in your head to cover up the inner voice
so that you don't hear it's messages.
Pay
attention to the thoughts that loop continuously in your head. Write
them down to get them out of the etheric realm of your head and
into the physical world where you can deal with them. When the inner
voice is speaking messages you love to hear, your body will respond
by allowing you to hear them more clearly.
An
interesting note: Recently it has been found that tinnitus is not
always an ear problem, but often is a malfunction of the brain.
Even when the hearing nerves in the ear are surgically cut, tinnitus
remains with the sufferer.
